I have served as a law enforcement officer in Ohio since 2004, and throughout my career, training and preparedness have been a major part of what I do.

I began training in judo and jiu-jitsu in 2006 and hold a black belt in judo. I am also an OPOTA-certified defensive tactics instructor and have spent more than a decade teaching law enforcement officers defensive tactics, officer safety, and active shooter response.

My training and certifications also include ALERRT Level One Train-the-Trainer, Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) instruction, and Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training.

Over the years, I've learned that many of the principles we teach in law enforcement—awareness, preparation, decision-making under stress, and knowing how to respond when something goes wrong—can be just as valuable to everyday people. That's what I bring to Apex Defensive Solutions: practical training built from real-world experience and designed for people who simply want to be better prepared to protect themselves and others.

My experience also extends beyond physical safety.

I am the owner of Logical Investigations LLC, a private investigations company specializing in areas including fraud investigations, fraud prevention, and education. Through that work, I help individuals and organizations better understand how modern fraud operates, recognize warning signs, and reduce their vulnerability to scams and financial exploitation.

I am also the author of Ghost Accounts: Inside the System of Modern Fraud, which takes readers inside the methods and systems behind modern fraud and explores how criminals exploit people, technology, and financial systems for their own gain.
